General Manager-Indian Trail
General Manager | Club Pilates
The Opportunity
We are looking for a business-minded, sales-driven General Manager to lead one of our Club Pilates studios.
This is not simply a studio management or administrative role. The General Manager is accountable for the overall performance of the business, including revenue growth, membership sales, member retention, team performance, and the day-to-day member experience.
The right person is comfortable moving between strategy and execution. You can read the numbers, identify where performance is breaking down, coach your team, solve problems quickly, and still step onto the sales floor and close a membership yourself.
You will lead a team of sales associates and instructors while partnering with district leadership to build a healthy, growing studio.
What You'll Own
Revenue & Sales Performance
Own studio revenue, membership growth, and sales performance.
Lead the sales process from new lead through Intro Class, membership conversion, and follow-up.
Coach and develop the sales team to consistently achieve performance expectations.
Monitor lead response, Intro bookings, show rates, conversion, and other key sales metrics.
Build additional revenue through retail, private training, and teacher training opportunities.
Create local partnerships and grassroots marketing opportunities that generate qualified leads.
Member Growth & Retention
Build a studio experience that creates loyal members and long-term relationships.
Monitor cancellations, freezes, attendance, and other indicators of members at risk.
Personally intervene when member concerns require leadership-level resolution.
Identify patterns behind attrition and implement actions to improve retention.
Team Leadership
Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop a high-performing studio team.
Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable for results and behaviors.
Create schedules that support both member demand and the financial needs of the studio.
Partner with instructor leadership to maintain appropriate instructor coverage and class capacity.
Build a culture of ownership, communication, collaboration, and exceptional service.
Business Operations
Know your numbers and use them to run the business.
Maintain accurate reporting and operational standards within ClubReady and other studio systems.
Manage payroll, inventory, collections, vendor needs, and studio expenses responsibly.
Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and operationally strong studio.
Execute company policies, promotions, and initiatives consistently.
What Success Looks Like
A successful General Manager doesn't simply keep the studio running.
They create a studio that grows.
That means:
Leads are contacted quickly and consistently.
Intro Classes are filled and prospects are converted into members.
The team understands its goals and knows how to achieve them.
Members feel known, supported, and connected to the studio.
Retention problems are identified before they become cancellation problems.
Staffing issues are addressed proactively.
The GM knows the numbers and takes action when performance moves off track.
Who We're Looking For
You may come from boutique fitness, wellness, hospitality, retail, medical aesthetics, membership businesses, or another high-touch consumer environment.
More important than your industry is your ability to lead people and drive a business.
You should have:
2+ years of leadership experience in a sales-driven or membership-based business.
A demonstrated ability to achieve revenue or sales goals.
Experience coaching employees and holding teams accountable for performance.
Comfort working with KPIs, reports, and business performance data.
Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills.
The ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment where priorities can change quickly.
Strong judgment and the confidence to make decisions.
A high level of organization, follow-through, and attention to detail.
Pilates experience is helpful, but you do not need to be a Pilates expert to be a strong candidate.
This Role May Not Be for You If...
If you are looking primarily for an administrative studio-management position, this probably isn't the right fit.
Our General Managers are expected to sell, lead, coach, problem-solve, and own results. When performance is off track, the GM doesn't wait for someone else to fix it. They identify the issue, build the plan, and lead the team through it.
What We Offer
Competitive base salary based on experience
Sales commission opportunities
Performance-based bonus opportunity
Unlimited Club Pilates membership
Growth opportunities within a multi-studio organization
The opportunity to lead a business and have a meaningful impact on its team and community
